Don't get many ensemble films in the collection I typically see. Mostly I guess because they are American films that centre around a star or two. The French don't mind sharing the limelight though, as
Little White Lies proves to its success in its tale about an extended family of friends that get together for their annual holiday. It is in its equity and balance that the film finds resonance, as the stories interweave and compliment each other naturally, with performances that gel and ring true. The Little White Lies that make up the title also amount to effect in the finale, like crumbled building blocks that eventually give way with drama.
Do allow for the 2 1/2 hour running time in seeing this film, which doesn't detract too much, but should be taken into account for attention that will be required.
