CRICKET: IPL Black Caps steady in week 2

McCullum, the best performing Kiwi in Week 2
The Black Caps have maintained steady contributions in week 2 of IPL 4.  Brendon McCullum has easily been the pick with 2 man of the match performances in the last 3 games picking up scores of 80 and 47, forming a solid opening combination with Jayawardene.

Ryder has also done well as an all-rounder with a top score of 60 against Delhi including five 6's at a SR of 222.  He also bowled Sehwag in the same game but his efforts were in vain as his side went down.  Bowled the fateful last over of the match that went for 10, a somewhat strange option by his captain Yuvraj.

Southee and Taylor have done okay without anything to harp on about, whilst Vettori seems surrounded by idiots at Bangalore, dwindling at the bottom of the league.  His fielders have seriously let him down with mis-fields conceding a lot of runs off his bowling.  Despite this, he still remains the most economical of his lot.

Styris, Franklin and Oram have all lost their places to incoming Aussies but will hopefully all get chances again over the duration of the long tournament.
