There have been some enjoyable old man vigilante films in recent years (
Gran Torino, Harry Brown) and
The Last Rites of Joe May starring Dennis Farina looks to be another. The formula for success looks there. Old man dishing it out to punks. Not much is more satisfying. Seems to be a starring good vehicle for
Dennis Farina too, who has toiled away in supporting roles for 30 years, after giving up 18 years on the beat as a cop. This indie film could be the perfect platform for him to receive the recognition he deserves.
