CRICKET: Thank you Kenya

All too easy... Bennett's most dramatic dismissal of the day.
Losing cricket got you feeling glum?  Call Kenya for a quick an easy remedy.  No cost, no hassle, just immediate capitulation, free!  A fortunate prescription for the Black Caps as they destroyed Kenya in their first World Cup encounter that will undoubtedly put them in a bullish mindset, much needed for the next game against Australia.

Hamish Bennett proved to be the primary instigator with 4 wickets, extracting variable bounce bowling into the wicket from wide angles.  Easily far too much for the crease-bound Kenyans.  They had started, completely perplexed by New Zealands decision to open the bowling with spinner Nathan McCullum.  Something they had perhaps not anticipated (especially given he was said to be ill for the match), they looked confused about how to confront him, making for a slow and tentative start.  Once the first wickets fell, a tumble began as Bennett found an Ntini like line in the direction of the stumps bringing in the bowled and LBW.  Southee and Oram added to the misery whilst Vettori strangled from the other end and 69 was all there was to be had.

For an associate to compete, they need to fire on the day.  The Kenyans rather, set themselves alight, allowing NZ to dance on top the cinders.  The perfect start for our team.  Against Australia, one can expect a different story.
